Arrival to Val Gardena - bike destination number one

The bike area Val Gardena, heart of the Dolomites, can be reached easily and stress-free by car or by public transport.

By car

From north, for example Munich via Autobahn 8 and Inntalautobahn 12 and 13 to the Brenner Pass. Continue on Autostrada 22 to the Chiusa/Klausen exit and directly into Val Gardena (280 km / 3:15 h).
From south, for example Milan, via Autostrada del Brennero (A22), passing by Verona, Trento, Bolzano. Exit Bolzano Nord and continue on state road SS242 to Ponte Gardena. Continue on state road SS12 to Val Gardena (approx. 250 Km – 4 h).

By train

A direct train takes you from Munich to Bolzano in under four hours. In Italy the train connections to Bolzano by IR trains (from Verona and Bologna), IC trains (from Lecce, Pescara and Bologna) and EC trains (from Verona, Bologna and Milan), are very good. A taxi or bus is the best way for bikers and bikes to get from Bolzano to Val Gardena.
